Sample lead conversation: older roof, replacement or repair (demo)
This shows what a homeowner sees when a web-form lead comes in and First Ping answers by email for the roofer. Allegheny Peak Roofing, "Chris," the address and the times are all made up. First Ping is email-only. This page does not use reply times as proof.
1. The homeowner fills out the web form (Wednesday, 8:15 PM, after hours)
Form: Request a roof estimate
- Name: Chris
- Email: chris@example.com
- Address: 456 Maple Dr, Penn Hills, PA 15235
- Message: Our roof is about 22 years old. Some shingles look curled and a couple on the back are cracked. Thinking about a new roof, but wondering if a repair would get us a few more years. Can someone give us an estimate?
2. First reply (email)
From: Allegheny Peak Roofing
Subject: Re: Your roof inspection request
Hi Chris,
Thanks for reaching out to Allegheny Peak Roofing. This is an automated assistant for the office.
A visit is the best way to answer that. Our inspector can look at the whole roof and go over both options with you: fixing the cracked shingles for now, or replacing the roof.
To get the right person out, is there any water getting inside, like stains on a ceiling? And is the house one story or two?
Thanks,
Allegheny Peak Roofing
3. Homeowner
No leaks that we’ve seen. Two stories. Roughly what does a new roof cost? And do you do financing?
4. Reply
Good to hear there’s no water coming in.
On price, our inspector gives you a written quote after seeing the roof, so I can’t give a number by email. I’ve passed your financing question to the team, and they’ll answer it directly.
For an estimate visit, the earliest openings are Thursday 10 AM–12 PM or Thursday 2–4 PM. Does either work?

5. Homeowner
We both work Thursday. Anything on the weekend?
6. Reply
Sure. Saturday 9–11 AM is open. Want that one?

7. Homeowner
Saturday works. One of us will be home.
8. Booking confirmation (email)
